Piggy Throne

Well I was asked last night via the piggy forum, if I could make a piggy bed with no top and I quote '' He needs something with no top that he can lie on in a lordly fashion.'' now Mariusz is a lovely looking piggy, who lives in New York so I got thinking I wanted something diffrent from the normal piggy beds with no top. And after much scribberling and chewing of pencil I came up with the Piggy Throne..

it has removeable seat pad for easy cleaning and extra pads can be made if required. Im just waiting to hear what Mariusz slave thinks of his throne :)
As I have also opened a shop on Folksy (link can be found on blog) I will be making these to put in there as well. At the moment it seems as if my house has been taken over by the sewing machine, but I am loveing every second LOL

Wow exciting times

Well I go on a guinea pig forum, only to be expected really LOL and I was proudly showing off my makes, not expecting any thing from it and .....*drum roll* I have got orders for both wash bags and piggy pockets. I feel so proud and excited that anyone would think my makes are good enough that they are worth paying for. So I have been glued to my sewing machine today and made two wash bags so far. Its also really nice that everyone doesnt mind that its recycled fabrics. They seem to really like the idea. So all in all a great day here at the hutch :)

the piggys all live inside a shed, Benji is outside at the moment he was getting a bit warm. Well thats my herd

Piggy Pocket

Well I have a big piggy called Dumbledore and he came with a piggy pouch, which was far too small for him and his friend Neville, and there was a few times one or both needed a hand getting out

Photobucket
Dumbledore on left and Neville on right they are Swiss

Dumbledore and Neville on there vet bed in there hutch

well I deiced to make them a bigger pocket and I wanted to recycle as much as I could, so the fleece is from a large blanket (so loads more fabric to make more things) the inside fabric is from my stash and is a upholstery fabric, and the boning I got new, as I wanted to open the doorway as I noticed with there last one they had to keep flicking there head under the fabric to get it open, but still be flexable if/when a fat piggy deiced that it was a good place to sleep on top of. The flower type decoration I used as I thought it was simple but safe for piggys and I had seen others using it on MSE and liked it.

so here it is
measurements
width 12''
height of doorway 6''
length 14''
this is for Dumbledore and Neville to fit in at the same time

Piggy Wash Bag

After my washing machine having a hissy fit over the piggy hairs I thought I better make a wash bag for all there bits. So I grabbed some jersey fabric out of my stash and the sewing machine and created this monster
